Amplify Boston '26 — The Annual TRC Fundraising Campaign
Amplify Boston '26 · Final Push
⏱ Campaign closes June 30, 2026

This is what finishing looks like.

We're raising $1.5M by June 30 to expand TRC Academy, invest in both facilities, and secure permanence for 55 Morrissey before the license expires in January 2027. We're in the final stretch. Every dollar gets us closer to done.

"I didn't know sound engineering was a career. I just knew I wanted to be around music."

Juwan Wiggins came to TRC Academy without a clear path. He left with a career. Today he works in sound engineering — a named placement at a Boston employer — because this building existed, the rates held, and the program was real.

Juwan is not an exception. He's what happens when the infrastructure works. Amplify Boston funds the next Juwan — the Academy scholarships, the facility upgrades, the permanence that makes all of it possible beyond January 2027.

When you give to this campaign, you're not funding an organization's budget. You're funding the next person who walks in not knowing what they're capable of yet.

Expand TRC Academy

Double the scholarships. Reach 150 students. Music business, sound engineering, and production — taught by Berklee faculty with real job placements at named Boston employers. Demand exceeds what we can currently fund.

Invest in the Facilities

Equipment upgrades, technology infrastructure, and the Community Stage at 55 Morrissey. These rooms have been running for 15 years. This investment keeps them at the standard that makes $10/hr access possible.

Secure Permanence

55 Morrissey's license expires in January 2027. We're advocating for ownership — with the city, with development partners, and with funders who understand what 400+ creative businesses losing their home would mean for Boston.

Common questions

Before you give.

Why June 30, 2026?

Strategic planning cycle. We're making decisions about 55 Morrissey permanence in January 2027. Investment now funds expansion and the advocacy that determines what happens next.

What if you don't reach $1.5M?

We prioritize based on what we raise. Every dollar funds expansion, capital improvements, or permanence planning. Nothing sits idle — it all goes toward the three priorities.

Is 55 Morrissey closing?

No. We have options: lease renewal, alternative buildings, city partnership. Amplify Boston funds the advocacy and planning to secure the right solution before the license expires.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. The Record Co. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Beyond June 30

The campaign closes.
The work doesn't.

Amplify Boston '26 is a campaign with a deadline. TRC's relationship with the people who believe in this work doesn't have one.

Whether you give now or after the campaign closes — whether you want to make a one-time gift or build something long-term — there's a way to stay connected to what we're building here.

The January 2027 permanence decision is coming regardless of where the campaign lands. We'll need partners in that conversation who understand what's at stake. If that's you, we want to hear from you.

Organizational Partnership

Bring your programs to our facilities. Access both locations at partner rates. Put your participants inside Boston's largest creative infrastructure.

Real Estate & Development

We're looking for long-term lease structures and co-development conversations. TRC brings 95% occupancy, 15 years of proof, and 400+ active businesses.

Endowment & Legacy Giving

Write your name into TRC's permanent story. Not a grant. Not a rescue. A legacy gift that keeps this infrastructure alive long after the campaign is over.

Academy Scholarships

Name a scholarship. Fund a cohort. 46 people, 94% completion rate, named employer placements. This is the most direct investment in workforce outcomes we offer.

$600,000 left to raise. June 30 is the deadline. Every gift at this stage is the one that finishes it.
